Complete MTS TECHNIK Comfort Series height-adjustable threaded combination suspension kit for BMW 3 Series E30 Sedan, Touring, Coupé and Cabriolet 4 and 6 cylinders with standard or M-Technic chassis and 45mm diameter strut:
- All petrol and diesel models with or without ABS
ATTENTION: Not suitable for M3 and ix 4-wheel drive versions!
Kit includes:
- 2 front twin-tube gas-hydraulic shock absorbers adjustable from -25mm to -90mm (with adjustable suspension bearings)
- 2 rear twin-tube gas-hydraulic shock absorbers adjustable from -25mm to -60mm
(Lowering values given as a guide with standard chassis as reference)
- 4 springs
- Stops and dust covers
- Adjusting wrenches
- Top mounting nuts and washers
This MTS Technik kit is assembled with main springs manufactured by EIBACH and developed in 3 versions (Street, Comfort and Sport). The springs in this Comfort Series kit have been specially designed to maintain maximum suspension comfort in all circumstances, without sacrificing roadholding.
These shock absorbers are twin-tube gas-hydraulic versions. Pressurized gas acts directly on the hydraulic fluid, eliminating the "foaming" effect of oil (an undesirable phenomenon typical of oil dampers), for maximum efficiency.
Their setting is fixed, not adjustable for hardness.
Height adjustment is independent of spring preload and therefore does not interfere with spring characteristics. This ensures high-performance damping right down to the lowest levels of lowering.
Adjustable spring cups enable custom camber adjustment.
shock absorber bodies are galvanized for corrosion resistance and longevity.
INFORMATION: a modification of the original front struts will be required for installation (installation manual supplied). Depending on the lowering value adopted and the type of rims used, adjustable spacers and sway bar links (part no. BJ42243) may be required.
This kit comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty with no mileage limit.
