I find that the magnets are not strong enough to fix it in a car where there are still vibrations.

The product is Made in China, although it carries a Volkswagen license. It is well made but not very apparent. The base is made of plastic where it has a cover to house the battery, the rest of tin, and the interior is the only nice thing with the clock. I do not recommend the product. The store has a lot of variety and is great for gifts.
