4-door sedan:
- 316 1.8L 90hp phase 1 from 03/1983 to 08/1987 (engine code M10B18)
- 316 1.8L 90hp phase 2 from 09/1987 to 07/1988 (engine code M10B18)
- 318i 105hp phase 1 from 02/1983 to 08/1987 (engine code M10B18i)

2-door coupe:
- 316 1.8L 90hp phase 1 from 03/1982 to 08/1987 (engine code M10B18)
- 316 1.8L 90hp phase 2 from 09/1987 to 07/1988 (engine code M10B18)
