This fitting can be used to vent the fuel system or to connect hoses to the windshield washer system.

For the fuel system :

A plastic T-fitting for the fuel tank vent circuit is a component used to connect multiple hoses in a vent or vacuum system, often as part of the fuel tank vent system. This fitting distributes air or gases efficiently, ensuring proper ventilation of the tank and avoiding excessive pressures that could lead to malfunctions or leaks.

The T-connector is used to connect various fuel tank venting and venting hoses, enabling the evacuation of fuel vapors to be managed while maintaining adequate pressure inside the tank.

In a fuel tank, it's crucial that air can flow in and out to compensate for changes in fuel volume, especially as the fuel is consumed or as a result of temperature variations. The T-connector can be used to connect different ventilation or venting lines.

Before installing a new fitting, carefully disconnect existing hoses to avoid leaks or fire hazards (be sure to turn off the fuel supply and take safety precautions).

Insert the hoses into the three openings of the T-connector. Use hose clamps to ensure tight connections.

Once the fitting has been installed, check for leaks by testing with a little pressure (by gently squeezing the hoses or activating the fuel pump) to ensure that the venting system is working properly.

For windshield washer system :

A washer circuit T-fitting is used to divide or connect multiple hoses in your vehicle's window washing system, allowing washer fluid to be distributed to different points on the vehicle (often the front and rear wipers or washer nozzles).

It can be used to distribute washer fluid evenly to several nozzles, or to connect different sections of the washer system. For example, a T-connector can be used to connect a main hose running from the washer reservoir to the two hoses feeding the front wiper nozzles.

As it is located in a pressurized circuit, the T-connector must be tightly sealed to prevent washer fluid leaks.

Before starting to change the T-connector, it's important to turn off the power to the windshield washer system and empty the washer fluid reservoir to avoid leaks from the T-connector.

If you are replacing a faulty T-connector, disconnect the hoses and carefully remove it. If hose clamps are used, unscrew them to release the hoses.

Insert the pipes into the new T-connector. If necessary, use hose clamps to ensure a firm, tight fit. Make sure that the pipes are fully inserted into the holes in the fitting to avoid any liquid leaks.

Once the T-connector has been installed, check that the system is watertight by switching on the windshield washer to ensure that there are no leaks and that the fluid is evenly distributed to the nozzles.

Average machining quality, I had to re-drill the pipe to remove a stuck chip. If not, the product performs its function well. (to connect EGR valve circuit hoses (VW T5 2.5TDI 174hp))
