This kit includes a complete steering column that replaces the original column, an electronic box, various sensors and assembly instructions.
This new column is equipped with an electric motor that assists rotational movements and is the same system that equips some modern new vehicles.
An electronic box manages the level of assistance to be provided based on the vehicle's speed and engine speed. The electrical assistance reduces when the speed increases.
In the event of an electrical failure or low battery, such as when the ignition is switched off, the "classic" steering remains fully functional: you drive in complete safety!
The steering gearbox, transfers and pivots must be in good working order. The kit does not make up for any play in the steering, the new column is connected to the steering wheel and to the original gearbox without modifying the vehicle, or any cutting or welding.
