This lined cup holds the suspension rods inside small suspension cylinders.
It slides inside the housing and acts as an internal stop for the suspension cylinder springs. The nylon gasket mounted on a dichromated steel frame ensures that the suspension cylinder stays greasy and operates durably and well.
