Details about : Sealed Beam H4 headlight for VW USA 7" - flat version without pilot light

US/american Sealed Beam headlight optics for H4 bulb.

Replaces the original headlight for better illumination. Model diameter 7 inches (17.78 cm). Fits on US bracket without modification. Economical, as you can keep the optics for a simple bulb change. Supplied with H4 12V bulb.
Version with flat headlamp globe and without pilot light slot.

For VW with American headlights (USA) using VA17008:
- Beetle, all years
- Karmann-Ghia, 11/1963 ->07/1974
- Combi Split, until ->07/1967
- Combi T2 Bay, 08/1967 ->07/1979
- Kübel 181, 08/1969 ->12/1979
- Type 3, 04/1961 ->07/1973

leg to be trimmed slightly to fit "morette" brackets, but this is only a detail !!!!

This headlight illuminates very poorly on low beam, and it's even worse on high beam. Useless, except on a museum vehicle, which doesn't run....
