The 2 pre-coated scotches aren't enough to hold it in place. But it's still a great product for holding smartphones, GPS devices, notebooks, etc.

Good-quality console, but: 1) had to be trimmed with a cutter to prevent the ashtray from opening 2) the compartments are slightly tilted towards the inside of the car: not a problem for the compartments, more so for the cup holders
