My car radio doesn't work any better than before, but that may not be because of the antenna. On the other hand, you need to ground a 10cm wire (find a ground to the windshield!). Besides, the instructions are completely useless.

To replace an amplified whip antenna on an integral motorhome. Antenna housed in the forward trunk, below the original antenna. Recovered 150 ohm and 12 v cables, soldered the core and ground braid. Connect the antenna ground wire to the braid, downstream from the 150 ohm cable. Great operation.
