Identical to the original (1988 Golf2 1300), easy to assemble. However, the one I disassembled was of the same brand and obviously not very old, I found it split over 10cm. I have the impression that it's the 3 carburettor fixing screws that come up against the bottom of the sole insert, stretching it to the breaking point. As I bought the Golf less than a year ago, I can't say how long the old sole plate had been fitted.
