Position light: This is the red light that comes on when the vehicle is moving, but without the driver accelerating or braking. It is used to signal the presence of the vehicle to other drivers, particularly in low-light conditions or at night.
Brake light: When the driver presses the brake pedal, the tail light comes on more intensely to signal to other drivers that the vehicle is slowing down or stopping. This helps avoid rear-end collisions by providing a clear visual warning.
