This paste takes a very long time to harden, which is perfect for certain uses, and it's great for sealing and waterproofing. To be used with disposable gloves, one pair per joint, the paste is like molasses, impossible to take the tube in hand without getting it all over. On the skin, it's a pain to remove once it's well spread out.
