The steering lever spi gasket for a VW Combi is an essential part of the steering system, especially in models where the steering is equipped with lever mechanisms.
The main purpose of the spigot seal is to create a seal around the steering lever, which is the part that transmits steering wheel movements to the steering mechanisms (in particular the tie rods and rack).
It prevents dust, moisture and other contaminants from entering the steering mechanism, which could lead to premature wear of internal components (such as bearings or seals).
By reducing internal friction between the steering lever and other moving parts, it helps ensure smooth operation of the steering system and more precise, comfortable steering.
