Despite its 8 pins, perfectly compatible with the original part which only had 7 pins, I contacted customer service to find out about compatibility, despite two contrary opinions the part is 100% compatible for Audi 80 Turbo D from 1990.

there are 2 models of contact barrel which are not interchangeable, there is a very small difference in the way the axle is fitted: large or small housing: I had to dismantle the barrel to swap the central parts with the old one (it was the body that was broken). The operation isn't easy, but it can be done.
