Description Product
A brake hose is an essential safety component of the braking system, serving to connect the various parts of the braking system, including rigid (metal) brake lines and moving parts such as brake calipers or brake shoes. It is designed to transmit brake fluid under pressure to activate the brakes when the brake pedal is depressed.
The hose allows the braking system to adapt to the movements of the wheels and suspension, which may be subject to changes in position while driving.
They are often made of steel-wire-reinforced rubber or synthetic materials to withstand heat, chemicals and brake fluid pressure.
Brake hoses are subject to strict safety standards. Worn or damaged hoses can cause brake fluid to leak, compromising the vehicle's braking ability.
It's important to check the condition of brake hoses regularly, especially for signs of wear, cracks, deformation or fluid leaks. In the event of damage, they must be replaced quickly to ensure vehicle safety.

used to replace aviation hoses on the front brakes of an Opel GT 1900. Just a shame it doesn't specify the type of end as shown on the rigid copper hose we also ordered.
