The tailgate actuator is essential to ensure that the tailgate opens and holds securely. If your actuator is defective or worn, it's important to replace it quickly to prevent the tailgate from falling out or becoming difficult to open.

This cylinder is fitted with a piston which, when compressed, releases a gas to exert a lifting force.

They are often used on heavier tailgates or doors with integrated windows, providing more power to hold the tailgate in place.

To fit, remove the old cylinder, using a screwdriver or wrench to remove the clips that hold the cylinder in place. Beware of residual pressure if the cylinder is still under tension.

To install the new cylinder, place it in the mounting brackets and clip into place. Check that the actuator is correctly installed and working before closing the tailgate.

This 910 Newton tailgate actuator fits VW Transporter T4 Multivan, Kombi, California, Syncro (4x4) from 08/1992 to 06/2003 from chassis no. 70-N-151782.

Need 2 per vehicle, sold individually.

Fits well, perfect dimensions, good quality but the jacks lift in fits and starts... if I had known, I would have taken the more expensive model...
