From 1976 to 1989, the E24 6 Series came with eight engine variants, all inline-six petrol units with a timing chain. The launch 630CS used a Solex 4A1 carburettor, while the CSi models received Bosch L-Jetronic and then Motronic injection. Power ranges from 184 hp on the 628CSi to 286 hp on the M635CSi / M6, whose M88 has 24 valves. Check this table to confirm your E24's engine before ordering any parts.
