The E32 7 Series, sold from 1986 to 1994, offers three petrol layouts: the M30 inline six of the 730i and 735i, the M60 V8s introduced in 1992 on the 730i and 740i, and the M70B50 V12 of the 750i, BMW's first production V12. Listed outputs range from 188 to 300 hp, with higher figures for the M30 without a catalytic converter. All of these engines use a timing chain.
