Citroën ID engine options

Different engine types for the Citroën ID from 1957 to 1972

Launched in May 1957 as the budget version of the DS, the ID appears here in three rows running up to 1972: two ID 19 variants and the ID 21 Estate. On the ID 19, the chain-driven four-cylinder engines evolve from the DM to the DE, then to the 1,985 cc DV and DV2; the ID 21 Estate, for its part, gets the DX and DX2. Outputs, quoted in SAE hp, range from 66 to 115 hp, with a carburettor on every version. The period and engine type of your ID, matched against the table, point to the parts that suit it.
