UNIL OPAL OPALPERF GI-V5 15W50 motor oil has been designed to meet the requirements of the naturally-aspirated and turbocharged petrol and diesel engines found in modern cars.
Regular use of this high-performance mineral lubricant in engines with a tendency to consume excess oil can significantly reduce this phenomenon.
Thanks to its special molybdenum- and bismuth-based additives (safe for FAP after-treatment systems), the coefficient of friction of mechanical parts in contact is reduced by 15-50%, while anti-wear performance is improved by 14%.

for my use on the boat, the 5-liter cans are more practical than the 2-liter ones. The 15w50 opal oil seems to suit my old mercedes 240d OM616 diesel with 6000 hours (corresponding to 400,000 km of driving) less smoke less oil consumption. We'll see this summer when we're cruising with temperatures of 50°C in the hold for several dozen hours at a time, the 15W50 should be more suitable than the 15W40.
