This bearing with 100% ceramic balls is stronger than the original one. It resists friction better with a high-temperature grease designed to withstand temperatures up to 180°C.
Both the bearing lubricant and the housing seal are of the highest quality available for this application, to ensure the reliability of your engine.
To facilitate bearing assembly and preserve its integrity. We strongly recommend that you chill the bearing in a freezer for 2 hours before fitting it, and that you heat the area of the engine block where the IMS will be fitted to 120 degrees Celsius.
- Original two-row version: Use the 6 mm spacer ring and a closed circlip for mounting (see application image for two-row version).
- Original single-row version: Do not use the 6 mm spacer ring. Use an open circlip as a retaining ring
Also, make sure there's no oil in the intermediate shaft tube before fitting the bearing!
Centrifugal force, combined with residual oil, creates a counterweight that will destroy the bearing prematurely.
