reinstalling a piston on an Austin mini engine. you have to "get the hang of it" to tighten the strap around the piston so as not to break a ring! This is what happened to me. Perhaps the machine was being used for the first time and was a bit resistant, which is a positive point. My relative inexperience is probably also to blame for this incident. Don't hesitate to tighten the rings around the piston as much as possible.
