Details about : TOOLATELIER exhaust manifold flange tool for Golf 1, 2

This TOOLATELIER tool is used to remove the 2 exhaust springs or flanges (one after the other) which secure the J-shaped manifold lower part to the cast-iron manifold.

For Golf 1:
- 1.5 Diesel 50hp (CK) from 08/79 onwards -> 1.5 65hp (GH) from 08/79 onwards
- 1.5 65hp (GH) from 08/80->
- 1.5 70hp (JB) from 08/80->
- 1.6 Diesel 54hp (CR, JK) from 08/80->
- 1.6Turbo Diesel 70hp (CY) from 08/80->
- 1.6 75hp (EW) from 08/80->

For Golf 1 Cabriolet

Important: During assembly and disassembly, do not look for the breaking point of the flange and/or tool. Watch out for your fingers!

Make it easier to position the flange by applying pressure to the exhaust line.

L'top, 10 seconds to remove the staples from the manifold, and without forcing, with a drill/driver, an extension lead and a socket. We'll see about reassembly.

Good tool, but the little screw holding the axle in place was loose, so the tool shifted when the flange was reassembled, and I had a hell of a time getting it out. Otherwise, it does the job.
