Details about : TOOLATELIER spark plug shaft threads - M14 x 1.25

This TOOLATELIER tool kit will enable you to repair spark plug threads on most cylinder heads.

The principle is simple: the tool taps larger threads, so you can screw in the insert to match the size of your spark plug.
Once the insert is in place on your cylinder head, you can replace your spark plug.

For a 14 mm spark plug thread

Once the well has been tapped to 16 mm, add one of the inserts to change to 14 mm.

Supplied with 4 inserts of different lengths:
10 mm, 11.20 mm, 12.70 mm and 19 mm

the tap is not tapered enough (lacks chamfer) it would also be good to specify and supply a 14 mm drill bit before tapping

Product bought to redo the thread on a cylinder head, unfortunately the outside diameter of the inserts does not match the tap, once tapped, impossible to screw, the inserts do not screw because their outside diameter too small The 14 days of withdrawal were exceeded when I used it.

Very poor quality tap, I had to re-screw it, hex head too big to go into a spark plug well, external thread not non-metric, supposedly 16x1.50, but that's not true.

We had to sharpen the tap, which is not at the advertised pitch but at the American pitch. The threads are of average quality. If you buy the threads separately that correspond to the reference, unfortunately they don't have the same pitch. Don't buy the whole set.
