Following the purchase of the 65/68 kit which did not fit my 1968 combi, and in the impossibility of being properly informed, I bought this kit which does not fit my original pump either. The diaphragms of these two kits are absolutely identical and their stems are 5 mm too short.

the return spring on the idler rod doesn't fit into the recess in the pump body, and the coils have to be tightened before it can fit. Moreover, its elasticity is questionable. This doesn't prevent the pump from working properly, however, as it only serves to compensate for operating play, the return effect being provided by the diaphragm spring. It is therefore preferable to reuse the original spring, if it shows no signs of wear (friction/abrasion).
