Produced from 1965 to 1969 and then briefly in 1976, the 912 is the 911 for pragmatists. Same lines, but a lighter 4-cylinder engine. Less powerful, yes. Less interesting, no. It offers more precise front-end handling and finer balance. Long overlooked, it is now being rediscovered for what it is: a true Porsche, not an alternative.
