The Audi A4 B6, appeared in 2000, was more qualitative and more dynamic than its precursor. It gained in perceived quality, especially thanks to the use of materials more efficient. However, its dynamic aspect was criticized and particularly its suspension, judged too firm. For the first time, a version C4 Cabriolet was presented in 2002. Concerning the motorizations, the range was extended from the 1.6l 102hp to the 3.6 V6 220hp for the petrol versions, and from the 1.9l TDi 130hp to the 2.5l TDi V6 180hp in Diesel. There is also the sporting version, the Audi S4 equipped with the V8 4.2l of 344hp. The career of this second version of the Audi A4 was short, since she was replaced from 2004.
