The Volkswagen Transporter, also called T3 or T25 was born in 1979. More and more spacious, it has a square car body, offering more visibility and a new chassis more rigid. However he had a difficult launch, due in part to its powerlessness. It was only with the arrival of more efficient blocks, such as the 1.9l and 2.1l cooled by water and especially the 1.6l Diesel and then Turbo coming from the Golf that the career of the T3 really started. In 1986, 4 years before the arrival of its successor, the 6 millionth utility vehicle left from the assembly lines of Hanover. The year before, almost 57% had been exported and sold in 180 countries!
