Ignition module

This module is designed for vehicles with a 12-volt electrical circuit in good working order without loss of current.

For original VW BOSCH ZV / PAU vacuum igniter years 03/1964 ->07/1970 with low body, 2-part removable platinum screws and capacitor inserted from below (round head). Mounting center distance: 32.5 mm.

Electronic module replacing the platinum-plated screws and the capacitor for Porsche 924 models from 1976 to 1979 equipped with breaker igniters:
- 924 2.0 - 125 hp (XJ/XK) from 1976 to 1979
A reliable, easy-to-install alternative, this "Ignitor 1" electronic ignition module from Pertronix is designed for vehicles with a 12-volt electrical circuit in good working order, with no loss of current.For original BOSCH igniter with vacuum capsule.
Warning:
- Does not replace the Hall-effect module of original electronic igniters on later models.- To be fitted with a PERTRONIX FLAME THROWER 40000 Volts - 3 Ohms coil specifically designed for the Ignitor 1 kit or equivalent.
Do not use the original coil designed for switch ignition, as it could heat up and cause cuts. Disconnect the battery and scrupulously respect the colors of the wires (red on the + coil and black on the - coil), otherwise the electronic module will be immediately destroyed and the warranty will be void.

Idealfor mounting a BOSCH 009 ignition on a 6 V VW
(Should not be fitted on009 style ignitions).

Warning: a 6 volt ignition must not bepoweredby a 12 volt power source as there is a risk of the immediate destruction of the electronic module. Blown module = not covered by warranty, it is therefore not possible to boost the starting of a vehicle with a 6 volt ignition using a 12 volt battery and cables!

An evolution of version "1", the IGNITOR 2 recognizes the starting phase and sends more voltage to the spark plugs. This new kit contains a microprocessor that manages the Dwell angle and sends more power from the coil between 2000 and 5000 rpm. Can be used with a Flame-Thrower 2 coil at 45,000V (0.6 ohms) or 60,000V (0.45 ohms).

For type 009 or 050 igniters without vacuum capsule.
