Fuel pump accessory

With a mechanical fuel pump, stopping the engine stops the fuel pump.
The installation of an electric fuel pump, especially for prepared engines, requires the installation of a cut-off relay for safety reasons and to avoid any risk of fire.
By taking the information from the coil, the safety cut-off relay will deactivate the pump, for example, in the event of an accident.
This CSP system also protects the fuel pump from damage (risk of overheating), which can occur when the engine is switched off and the ignition switched on.
When the ignition is switched on, the relay switches the fuel pump on for about 2 seconds and then off again. This prevents the pump from overheating. The relay then switches on only when a running engine is detected via the ignition coil connection. If the engine stops, the relay disconnects the power supply to the fuel pump.

Can be used with conventional ignition systems. Ignition coil resistance must not be less than 2 ohms at the primary. Compatible with 123 Ignition, Bosch 009, screwless ignition systems, contact switches, etc.

A fuel pump spacer for 2cv - bakelite 8mm is made by MECATECHNIC

This fuel pump spacer for 2cv is machined in an old-fashioned laminated phenolic resin that is particularly stable to heat, cold and contact with potentially corrosive liquids and oils, and will not warp.

A thermal shim insulates the carburetor from the heat generated by the engine. It is essential to the smooth operation of the fuel pump and engine. Together with the base gasket, it seals the fuel inlet and ensures smooth operation of the fuel pump's priming lever.
