Located on the cylinder head, it opens and closes according to engine cycles, allowing air or the air-fuel mixture to enter the cylinders.

INFORMATION: There are four different cylinder heads for the 2002 M10 engine. They are identified by a number that can be 121, 121TI, E12 or E21 2.0, located on the intake side, above the fourth cylinder inlet, easily visible when the hood is opened.
From 01/1968 to 06/1972, 2002 carbureted models are fitted with 121 or 121TI cylinder heads with 44mm intake valves. From 06/1972, all 2002s feature a new cylinder head identified E12 (46mm intake valves).
